Clira – Cleaner is an iOS-only mobile application designed to assist users in organizing and optimizing their device storage by identifying duplicate or unnecessary photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events.
Our core architectural principle is privacy by design and by default. The App was intentionally developed so that personal data remains under the user’s direct control at all times.
We do not operate a cloud storage platform, we do not maintain user accounts, and we do not build behavioral or advertising profiles.
This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to:
This Policy does not apply to Apple Inc., the Apple App Store, or device-level data processing conducted by the iOS operating system. Users should consult Apple’s own privacy policies for information about Apple ID accounts, billing systems, and device analytics.
Clira does not collect, store, process, transmit, distribute, sell, lease, or otherwise handle personal data outside of the user’s device.
Specifically, we do not collect:
Because we do not collect personal information, we do not maintain centralized databases containing user content.
In order to perform its core functions, the App may request specific permissions from the user. These permissions enable analysis of data already stored on the user’s device.
All data processing is executed locally within the secure environment of iOS. No data is exported to external servers controlled by us.
The App may request access to your photo library to:
Image comparison algorithms operate exclusively on-device. Media files are not copied, uploaded, or mirrored externally.
The App may request permission to analyze contact entries in order to:
Contact data remains fully under user control and is never transmitted to us.
The App may request access to calendar data to:
Calendar information remains stored locally on the device and is not externally stored or processed.
Clira offers optional premium subscriptions, including trial periods. Subscription payments are processed exclusively by Apple via the App Store.
We do not:
Apple manages subscription billing, renewals, and refunds in accordance with Apple’s policies.
Clira does not integrate advertising networks or tracking SDKs.
The App does not monetize user data in any form.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), personal data controllers are required to provide transparency regarding processing activities. Because Clira does not collect or process personal data externally, we do not operate as a data controller in relation to personal information handled within the App.
We do not collect personal information as defined under California privacy laws. Therefore:
Under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), businesses must clarify acquisition and retention practices. Clira does not acquire or retain personal information on remote servers.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under any age threshold. Since we do not collect personal data from any users, there is no database containing minors’ information.
Clira relies on Apple’s iOS security architecture. All processing occurs within the device sandbox environment.
Because we do not operate centralized data storage systems, risks associated with server breaches, unauthorized third-party database access, or remote data leaks are minimized.
Users remain responsible for managing device-level security settings.
In jurisdictions that provide rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of processing, such rights apply to personal data held by a controller. Since Clira does not collect or retain personal data, these rights do not apply to data stored solely on the user’s device.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in:
